Since it’s the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, Sean thought it would be a great idea this week to examine John F Kennedy’s “moonshot” speech back in 1961 and how it was instrumental in persuading a nation to embark on such a daunting goal at the time.
Joining us to discuss this speech is Charlie Euchner. Charlie is an author & editor of a dozen books who has taught writing at Yale and directed a think tank at Harvard. He is the author of an upcoming book on Woodrow Wilson and is the creator of The Elements of Writing, a unique system for mastering writing by taking the tedium out of writing & tapping into your passions and interests.

Beverage of the week
On this episode, I’m enjoying a gluten-free beer called Daura. This is by far the best gluten-free beer I’ve ever had, and I think I’ve tried them all. Daura was launched in 2006 and since then, has won many prestigious international awards as the best gluten-free beer.
Sean, on the other hand, is enjoying a nice Pilsner Urquell from the Czech Republic. It’s the world’s first pale lager, and its popularity meant it was copied and named pils, pilsner or pilsener.
Gear of the Week
At the beginning of the show, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on a brand new piece of equipment for creating an amazing podcast show. It’s called the Rode RodeCaster Pro Podcast Production Studio from Sweetwater.
This standalone mixer gives you the ability to record right out of the box with no connection cables needed to hook to your computer. You can Bluetooth connect right to your phone for phone interviews! It offers some incredible sound also with eight programmable pads for introducing sound effects, jingles, applause, and commercials.
