On this week’s episode, Sean and I will be discussing a few different topics, one of which is a recent article from Harvard Business Review on Marvel’s Blockbuster Machine. We’ll specifically be talking about a number of ways Marvel’s builds intrigue in its fan base.
Copywriting Critique
We’ll also be critiquing a recent advertorial in the USA Today which does a great job of repurposing its heartburn/acid reflux remedy as a health & beauty product as well…. but fails to score a win in other areas of the copy.
Beverage of the Week

For this episode, I’m breaking out a show favorite – a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel from Lexington Brewing Co. This beer is aged for up to six weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky’s finest distilleries.
Beautiful fiery amber-orange color with a creamy head. Aromas are clear and evident. Caramel, toffee, molasses, and slight smoked.

Sean is finishing up his Shiner variety pack with a Kosmos Reserve. This brew was named after founder Kosmos Spoetzl. It’s an all-malt lager that is hopjacked for additional aroma and flavor.
Enjoy the show and cheers!
