On this episode, we’ll be discussing why “nostalgia marketing” is so effective when it comes to selling to today’s consumers. Brands from all different industries are now experimenting with nostalgia by tapping into positive childhood memories from past decades.
Sean and I will be sharing some examples such as the latest Star Wars movie. We’ll also use some cool examples of companies like ManCrates, that are using rough-looking retro designs to appeal to us guys.
Featured Beer
For this episode, I’m having a Milk Stout from Left Hand Brewing. The aroma is a mix of roast malt and semisweet chocolate. The taste is mostly a semisweet chocolate & roasty bitterness to bring balance. Overall a great milk stout that pairs well with the sweet chocolate brownie I had with it.
Sean is having a Coconut Hiwa Porter from Maui Brewing Co. It’s a robust dark ale with hand-toasted coconut & hints of mocha.
