This Week’s Featured Beer
On this episode, Bob is enjoying a Leinenkugel’s® Grapefruit Shandy. This is a Leinenkugel’s traditional weiss beer but combined with a natural white grapefruit flavor to add some extra fresh citrus refreshment. Bob gives it 3.5 pints.
I’m having a Death by Affogato from Oscar Blues Brewing. This one combines espresso, creamy vanilla gelato, and chocolate shavings to mimic the classic Italian dessert, affogato. This is my favorite from Oscar Blues so far and I give it 4.9 pints, our highest score yet. 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Sean is having a Petrus Aged Red Ale. This 8.5% ABV red ale has a scarlet-brown color with a taste that starts out sweet but finishes with a sour aftertaste. Sean gives it a solid 4 pints. 🍺🍺🍺🍺

Featured Beer this Week
On this episode, I’m having a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Strawberry Ale from Lexington Brewing Company. I’ve enjoyed most of the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel series, but this one is a little too tart for my taste. I gave it 1.8 pints. 🍺
Sean is having a Heckin Chonker Imperial Stout, a 10.5% ABV blended bourbon barrel-aged pastry stout with vanilla. Pours thick and black. Nose is chocolate, vanilla, and light bourbon. Taste is bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla, but not too sweet for a pastry stout.
Sean gave it 4.3 pints. 🍺🍺🍺🍺

Featured Beer
On this episode, I’m having an Old Fashioned from Anderson Valley. This 8.3% ABV brown ale is brewed with orange peel and Hersbrucker hops, which naturally have orange-like flavors. Cherry puree is added at the end of fermentation, then this brew is aged in bourbon barrels. The citrus was a little overpowering for my taste; a little too hoppy at 45 IBUs. I gave it 2.2 pints. 🍺🍺
Sean is having a Harviestoun Old Engine Oil. This 6% ABV beer is a Scotland- English Porter dark in color, like engine oil, but without the aftertaste of grease. Sean gives it a solid 3 pints 🍺🍺🍺.
